Our Launch Event

Updated: 7 hours ago

On 17th June 2026 at Narture Shape in Ayr, we launched Night In with our first event. Our mission is simple: to offer adults a way to make organic connections without the influence or pressure that come with drinking alcohol.

The launch event was a sold-out success, with 25 guests joining us for an evening full of laughter, creativity and music.

Welcoming Everyone to Night In

The evening began with a warm introduction from our host, Ryan. He thanked everyone for purchasing tickets and expressed gratitude to the staff at Narture Shape for their support. Ryan then outlined the schedule for the night, setting the tone for a relaxed and engaging experience.

Breaking the Ice

To get everyone mingling, we kicked off with a prompt card ice breaker activity inspired by musical chairs. When the music played, guests moved around the room, and when it stopped, they turned to the person beside them to start a conversation.

Much like any teething stage, we quickly learned that the table layout limited space for movement, which resulted in a make-shift conga line, keeping the energy high and encouraging interaction in a fun, unexpected way.

Creativity and Live Music

Next, our guests took part in a coaster decorating activity. This hands-on experience gave everyone a chance to express themselves artistically while chatting and getting to know each other better.

At Night In, we believe that focusing on a creative activity helps conversations flow more naturally. When people are engaged in a shared task, they're often less self-conscious about how they come across or how others might perceive them. Instead, the focus shifts to the experience itself, cr

eating a relaxed environment where genuine connections can develop - especially when everyone is there for the same reason.

The night featured a 30-minute live set from Findlay Williamson, a talented Ayrshire musician who recently gained recognition as a runner-up on ITV’s Your Song contest.

Findlay’s performance included covers of classic pop-rock songs that truly raised the vibes of the evening.

Looking Ahead

The success of this launch event confirms that Night In fills a real need for adults seeking meaningful social experiences after dark. We’re excited to build on this momentum and continue hosting nights where people can relax, connect and create lasting memories.

If you missed out on this event, keep an eye on our upcoming schedule. We’re committed to making every Night In event a chance to trade blurry nights for moments worth remembering.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the launch so special. We look forward to welcoming you back soon for more nights filled with good company, creativity, and great music.
